Cheeks: What makes your muse smile?

Should you ask, he’ll tell you nothing at all! and send you on your way, but the truth of it is that the joy of his companions and friends will always put a smile upon his face. ( At the end of the day, it’s family that makes him smile, and family that always lightens his heart, but you’ll never hear such an admission from his lips. ) 

During the Blight, Alistair’s jokes are usually the things to make him smile, along with Leliana’s stories. Both the ex-Templar and the ex-Sister do wonders for his mood, always managing to make him cheer up, even when he’s been in the foulest of tempers.

And, of course, there is Morrigan. There will be times where Balfour need only look at her and he finds himself happy enough to have a small grin coaxed onto his face, however briefly. 

After the Blight has been well seen to, it is his wife that makes him smile, though he only ever realizes when he catches himself doing it in a distracted moment. It’s all very romantic and, after Morrigan leaves, he even finds himself despising the fact. But Anora will have these moments, and Balfour can do nothing more than smile at her so fondly. Eventually, he doesn’t even mind.
