Hands: What is your muse’s greatest regret?
Of all the things he regrets ( and, believe me, Balfour holds enough regret to fill the lives of a hundred men ) his greatest has to be betraying Alistair in the name of a crown. At first, Alistair’s anger only stung at best, but then the Archdemon was defeated, the Blight brought to an end– and the two people that mattered most to him in this world left.
As much as he enjoys being Ferelden’s Prince-Consort, Balfour has to admit that he sorely misses the title of brother. But Alistair is long gone, his absence keenly felt, and no matter how much he searches for any trace of information on the man to try and mend his most grievous mistake… there is none to be had.
There’s not a single day that passes by where Balfour does not feel some pain because of his actions. ( But no matter how much he regrets it, he’s still not sure that he’d change anything if he ever got the chance. )
Stomach: Can your muse cook?
Not to any amazing degree, but he can manage an edible meal, should the occasion call for it. When he was younger, nothing more than Bryce’s youngest, there were people who would cook for him, so he barely had to make any sort of effort. After the events at Ostagar, however, Balfour decided to teach himself how to cook well enough to get by.
Ankles: Tell me a weakness your muse has.
Families. Even if he’s never met any members of a certain family, if they’re in need of help, Balfour will offer it. If a father has lost his son, he’ll try his hardest to reunite them; if a mother is in need of coin, he will offer as much as he can. Family has meant a great deal to him for as long as he can remember and, after suffering through the loss of his own, he wants to make things easier for any others he may come across.
There have been times when this weakness has almost cost the Warden a great deal, but he tries his best to avoid those occasions.
